Indications
Urinary Tract Infections (UTI): Highly effective in treating both complicated and uncomplicated UTIs, including cystitis and pyelonephritis caused by E. coli or Klebsiella.

Respiratory Tract Infections (RTI): Indicated for acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, and multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (as part of a multidrug regimen).

Gastrointestinal (GI) Infections: Primarily used to manage acute infectious diarrhea and enteric fever.

Typhoid Fever and Travellers’ Diarrhea: A trusted choice for treating Salmonella typhi infections and digestive tract distress caused by bacterial pathogens during travel.

Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Indicated for cellulitis, abscesses, and wound infections caused by susceptible staphylococci or streptococci.

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) & Gonorrhea: Effectively manages certain sexually transmitted infections and pelvic organ inflammations.

Bacterial Conjunctivitis (Off-label): While primarily an oral tablet, the systemic efficacy of Ofloxacin is often recognized in managing severe ocular-related bacterial colonization.

Broad-Spectrum Bactericidal Action: OSIN-200 provides a wide range of coverage, killing a variety of bacteria that cause internal and surface-level infections.

Treatment of Respiratory Distress: It quickly clears bacterial loads in the lungs and bronchial tubes, reducing inflammation and restoring normal breathing patterns.

Management of Enteric Fever: Specifically formulated to reach therapeutic concentrations in the gut and gallbladder, making it highly effective against typhoid pathogens.

Eradication of Persistent UTIs: Its high renal clearance ensures that a significant amount of the active drug reaches the urinary tract to combat stubborn bacterial colonies.

Soft Tissue Recovery: Accelerates the healing of skin infections by preventing the spread of bacteria into deeper tissue layers or the bloodstream.

Prophylactic Use: In specific clinical settings, it may be used to prevent infections in patients with compromised immune systems.

The standard adult dosage for OSIN-200 is typically one tablet twice daily (every 12 hours), or as strictly directed by a healthcare professional. The duration of the treatment depends on the severity and type of infection; it is vital to complete the full course even if symptoms disappear after a few doses.

Store OSIN-200 in a cool, dry place where the temperature does not exceed 30°C.

Protect the tablets from moisture and direct sunlight, as light can degrade the chemical stability of Ofloxacin.

Keep the medication in its original blister pack until the time of consumption.

Keep out of reach of children and pets to avoid accidental toxicity.

Administration: Swallow the OSIN-200 tablet whole with a full glass of water. It can be taken with or without food; however, taking it with food may minimize potential stomach upset.

Avoid Chelating Agents: Do not take OSIN-200 within 2 hours of consuming antacids, iron supplements, multivitamins with zinc, or dairy products (milk/yogurt), as these can significantly decrease the absorption of the antibiotic.

Hydration: Maintain high fluid intake throughout the day while taking Ofloxacin to prevent the formation of highly concentrated urine and protect kidney function.

Handling: Do not crush or chew the tablet. Breaking the tablet can result in a bitter taste and may alter the intended absorption rate in the GI tract.

Tendon Rupture: Fluoroquinolones, including OSIN-200, are associated with an increased risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture. Discontinue use and consult a doctor if you experience sudden pain or swelling in your joints or tendons.

Photosensitivity: This medication makes your skin more sensitive to UV light. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning beds, and use sunblock when outdoors.

Central Nervous System (CNS) Effects: Use with caution in patients with a history of seizures, tremors, or other CNS disorders, as Ofloxacin can occasionally trigger tremors or anxiety.

Pregnancy & Lactation: OSIN-200 is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless the benefits clearly outweigh the risks to the fetus or infant.

Myasthenia Gravis: Ofloxacin may exacerbate muscle weakness in patients with myasthenia gravis and should be used with extreme caution.

Blood Sugar: Diabetics should monitor their blood glucose closely, as fluoroquinolones can cause fluctuations in blood sugar levels.
